Chris Hemsworth & Olivia Wilde Recreate the Wedding of Formula 1 Champion James Hunt

3 Apr

Chris Hemsworth and Olivia Wilde are bringing James Hunt and his wife Suzy Miller to life in the forthcoming Formula 1 biopic, Rush, and recreated touching scenes from the couple’s 1974 marriage on set today.

“Rush” is a film about iconic British racing driver James Hunt who married 1970s supermodel Suzy Miller in a whirlwind wedding after only a few weeks of dating (who later regretted proposing to Suzy so soon).

Looking gorgeous in the calf-length wedding dress with lace cap sleeves, there is a striking resemblance between Olivia and Suzy, though Olivia’s attire is slightly different to Suzy’s original gown. Chris makes for a handsome James Hunt, wearing almost the exact outfit worn by the famous driver,  though the seventies pinstriped trousers are toned down a little.

The new biopic of the star, directed by Oscar-winner Ron Howard, covers Hunt’s rivalry with Formula 1 champion driver Niki Lauda (played by Inglorious Basterds star Daniel Brüh).

Looking forward now to seeing the films wedding scenes. Just love the whole 70’s wedding vibe. How many brides would love to recreate their wedding I wonder? I’d go for Jimmy Choo bridal shoes if I did it again!
