Alec Baldwin Marries Hilaria Thomas

2 Jul

The 30 Rockactor, 54, and his 28-year-old yoga instructor fiancée swapped vows in an evening ceremony on Saturday at New York City’s St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York City (where The Godfather‘s baptism scene was filmed).

The bride wore a silk magnolia trumpet Amsale gown with cap sleeves and a keyhole back neckline accented with crystal buttons, and the groom a dark suit by designer Tom Ford, while the mother of the bride and Alec´s daughter, Ireland, wore flowing dresses, also designed by Amsale. The bridesmaids wore miss-matched dresses in black, grey, turquoise, and bold turquoise-and-purple tie-dye print.

Florist De Juan Stroud placed white hydrangeas, white roses and calla lilies around the church to match the white colour scheme of the day. The Reverend George Deas is said to have performed the ceremony, reportedly conducted in English with readings in Spanish. After the ceremony, guests were filtered to the campus of Hilaria’s alma mater, New York University, for a reception at the private school’s nearby Kimmel Center.

Guests at the nuptials in Manhattan’s Nolita district included Baldwin’s 30 Rock co-star Tina Fey, his brothers Stephen and Billy Baldwin, Woody Allen and wife Soon-Yi, actress Mariska Hargitay, Robert Kennedy Jr and Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels.

Baldwin, who is 26 years Hilaria’s senior, asked for her hand in April in Long Island, New York. The two dated for almost a year before he proposed and they first appeared in public together at several bashes in New York in May 2011.

This is the first marriage for Thomas. Baldwin divorced actress Kim Basinger in 2002 after eight years of marriage.
