Vera Wang Bridal Spring 2015

16 Apr

Vera Wang has debuted a grungy new bridal collection featuring delicate gowns in satin, lace and tulle. Instead of a catwalk presentation, an edgy and somewhat eerie video was posted on her website last Monday, starring ghostly looking models with bleached eyebrows, white mascara and limp hair that made them appear even more fragile and otherworldly. Shot just a few days ago in and outside an old mansion on Long Island, the video features four models wandering in the woods and lounging inside, at times strewn in burnt rose petals. Vera says she was inspired by the “lightness of being, delicate and discipline, sensual and seductive” and that “the wedding dresses are meant to be dreamy and edgy, because girls today are edgy. I don’t think of bridal anymore as a niche.”
